Washington— Business Roundtable today announced the establishment of a new Corporate Initiatives group within the organization and the promotion of Dane Linn to Senior Vice President to lead this work. In addition to the organization's ongoing work to promote sound economic policies to support growth, innovation and opportunity, the Corporate Initiatives group will strengthen Business Roundtable’s efforts to advance private sector initiatives to invest in workers and communities.

“Throughout his career, Dane has been a leader in advancing work to support a thriving, diverse U.S. workforce,” said Joshua Bolten, Business Roundtable CEO. “Dane will bring to this new role his vast experience and his demonstrated commitment to ensuring that America’s corporations play an effective role in advancing the interests of workers and communities.”

As Senior Vice President, Corporate Initiatives, Linn will lead efforts that bring together the organization’s membership to make collective progress and apply best practices on issues such as worker training, diversity, investments in rural communities, veteran and second chance employment, and engagement with small business suppliers.

Business Roundtable also announced the promotion of Rayna V. Farrell to Deputy Head of Communications. Previously Farrell served as Chief of Staff, Public Affairs. In this new role she will focus on strategic communications planning and implementation, while continuing to oversee the day-to-day operations of the communications team and execution of communications initiatives and campaigns.

Additionally, Donald McIntosh has been promoted from Senior Director, Policy to Vice President, Education and Workforce. In this role, he will lead the Education and Workforce Committee’s work to promote policies that ensure American workers have access to quality education and training in high-demand skills and pathways to good careers.

Katie Sarro has been promoted from Director, Policy to Senior Director, Policy, where she will continue to focus on energy and environment, regulatory and infrastructure issues.

“I am delighted to announce the well-deserved promotions of Rayna, Donald, and Katie,” said Bolten. “Each reflects the best of BRT’s superb staff, and I’m confident their new roles will permit each to contribute even more to Business Roundtable’s ongoing efforts to promote sound economic policies that support growth, innovation and opportunity.”

The establishment of the Corporate Initiatives group and these recent promotions follows recent leadership changes at Business Roundtable, including the promotion of Kristen Silverberg, to President & COO, and the hiring of Michael Steel as Senior Vice President, Communications.
