Washington – Business Roundtable today issued the following statement regarding the U.S.-China trade dispute:
“Continued tit-for-tat escalation of the trade dispute with China threatens economic growth and will harm U.S. workers and consumers. The Administration’s objective should continue to focus on real structural reforms in China that address unfair trade and investment practices. Broadly restricting or putting up barriers to commerce with foreign nations risks the millions of American jobs that depend on international trade. The U.S. and China need to get back to the negotiating table and refrain from further escalation.”
