“Business Roundtable welcomes full FDA approval of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech SE. As new more infectious variants of the virus continue to spread, increased vaccine uptake among the non-vaccinated is now more important than ever. Today’s announcement should provide additional assurance for individuals who have been hesitant.
“Since vaccines became available to broad segments of the population, America’s largest employers have led efforts to encourage employees and customers to get vaccinated. In recent weeks, many companies have made the decision to mandate vaccines for some or all of their employees, and we applaud their decision. We also encourage policymakers, including at the state and local levels, to support – not impede – companies’ ability to make such a decision.”
