Business Roundtable CEOs Are Responding to COVID-19

The CEOs of America's leading companies recognize the magnitude of the COVID-19 crisis and are focused on ways to support employees, customers, communities and the country.

As the nation navigates this challenging time and we rebuild together, our members remain committed to all stakeholders as outlined in the Business Roundtable Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation. The health and safety of American workers and consumers remains the top priority of Business Roundtable CEOs.

Our member companies are taking action to protect their employees and customers, developing new diagnostic tools and treatments, providing facilities for testing, procuring and producing critical medical equipment, and contributing expertise, financial resources and supplies across the country.

Looking ahead, safely getting back to business is not just important for the health of the economy, but for the health and well-being of all Americans. As states and regions around the country begin to reopen, success is contingent on proper safety measures, consistent guidelines and ample testing being in place, as well as public and private sector coordination.

The federal government has issued guidance for what health care providers, businesses, community organizations and individuals can do to keep the public safe and reduce the spread of COVID-19. As state and local governments continue to develop specific requirements and guidelines for their unique circumstances, Business Roundtable encourages them to align their efforts with federal guidance and each other to the greatest extent possible.

Extraordinary work has been and continues to be done by large U.S. companies to safely support the economy and deliver essential services to American families across the country through this unprecedented economic disruption.
