Washington - Business Roundtable, the Business Council of Canada and the Mexican Business Council released the following statement:
“Business Roundtable, the Business Council of Canada and the Mexican Business Council welcome President Biden’s recent meetings with Prime Minister Trudeau and with President López Obrador, as well as Cabinet-level meetings, that all demonstrate a shared commitment to North American cooperation.
“We fully support our countries working together to defeat the pandemic, create jobs, accelerate economic recovery, enhance our regional competitiveness, improve supply chain resilience and tackle climate change. And we urge full implementation and compliance with the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) that was enacted with broad political and stakeholder support and can anchor these cooperative North American efforts.
“We are also encouraged by the effort to relaunch the North American Leaders Summit, which reflects our Leaders’ dedication to the trilateral partnership. We look forward to partnering with our governments to help North America emerge stronger and more resilient from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
