Washington – Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten today released the following statement applauding House passage of the Ukrainian relief and omnibus spending package:
“Business Roundtable applauds congressional leaders for working with the Administration on a bipartisan package to fund U.S. government operations, deliver much-needed humanitarian, economic and military assistance to the people of Ukraine and ensure full implementation of the bipartisan infrastructure law. The bipartisan, bicameral government funding bill the House passed today will provide the fiscal stability on which the U.S. economy relies.
“Business Roundtable strongly supports provisions in the package to aid Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. The Roundtable also welcomes provisions to ensure continued investment in our nation’s physical infrastructure and measures to enhance broadband connectivity, extend coverage of telehealth services that serve Americans across the country and prevent cyberattacks. We urge the Senate to swiftly pass the omnibus bill.”
